Beauty Services, Appointments & Client Policy

carved beauty and wellness centre

Contact: carvedbeautysalon@gmail.com

By booking an appointment with carved beauty salon, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. These terms are intended to ensure a professional, respectful and safe experience for every client while protecting the time, services and business of the provider.

 Deposits & Payments

1.1. A deposit is required to secure an appointment. Your booking will not be confirmed until the required deposit has been received.

1.2. Deposits will be deducted from the total cost of the booked service, with the remaining balance payable on the day of the appointment unless otherwise agreed.

1.3. Deposits are generally non-refundable if a client changes their mind, fails to attend, or cancels for reasons other than those specified in this policy, subject always to applicable consumer law.

1.4. Health-related cancellations: If a client is unable to attend due to a genuine health-related reason, they may request a refund of their deposit. The client must notify the business as soon as reasonably possible. Reasonable supporting evidence may be requested where appropriate and lawful.

1.5. Where the business cancels an appointment and cannot offer a suitable alternative, any refund due, including a deposit, will be provided in accordance with applicable law.

1.6. All payments must be made using the payment methods accepted by the business. Outstanding balances must be settled before the client leaves the appointment.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

2.1. Clients must notify the business of any cancellation or request to reschedule as soon as possible.

2.2. Cancellation requests must be submitted within one month of the original booking date, regardless of whether the appointment was booked more than or less than one month in advance. This requirement does not override any statutory cancellation rights.

2.3. Where an appointment is booked less than one month in advance, clients should contact the business immediately if they need to cancel or reschedule.

2.4. Cancellations or rescheduling requests do not automatically entitle the client to a refund. The deposit policy in Section 1 will apply, subject to applicable law.

2.5. Rescheduling is subject to availability. A deposit may be transferred to a new appointment at the business's discretion, taking account of the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.

2.6. Repeated cancellations, frequent rescheduling or failure to attend appointments may result in the business declining future bookings.

Late Arrivals

3.1. Clients are expected to arrive on time for their appointments.

3.2. If a client arrives more than 20 minutes late, the business reserves the right to cancel the appointment where there is insufficient time to provide the service safely and to the required standard.

3.3. Where an appointment is cancelled due to lateness, a cancellation charge may apply. Any charge, including a charge up to the full service price, must be proportionate, clearly disclosed in advance and justified by the business's reasonable losses and applicable law.

3.4. If the appointment can still be accommodated, the treatment may need to be shortened or adjusted. The full agreed price may remain payable where the original appointment time was reserved and the charge is fair and lawful.

3.5. Clients who anticipate being late should contact the business as soon as possible. Notification does not guarantee that the appointment can be accommodated.

No-Shows & Missed Appointments

4.1. A no-show occurs when a client fails to attend their appointment without prior notice.

4.2. Failure to attend may result in the loss of the deposit and, where fair, lawful and proportionate to the business's actual losses, a further cancellation charge.

4.3. Clients who repeatedly fail to attend appointments may be required to pay the full booking amount in advance for future appointments or may be refused future bookings.

4.4. Any charge imposed for a missed appointment will be subject to applicable consumer protection law.

Respectful Conduct & Right to Refuse Service

5.1. The business is committed to maintaining a safe, professional and respectful environment for clients and staff.

5.2. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, aggressive or persistently disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.

5.3. The business reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate a service where a client's behaviour creates a safety concern, constitutes harassment, or makes it unreasonable to continue the appointment.

5.4. Where a service is terminated due to client misconduct, the client may be charged for the services already provided and any reasonable, lawful costs directly resulting from the incident. Any deposit retained or additional charge must be fair and proportionate.

5.5. The business may decline future bookings from clients who breach this policy.

5.6. Nothing in this section permits the business to discriminate unlawfully or to disregard a client's statutory rights.

Health, Safety & Client Responsibility

6.1. Clients must disclose relevant allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, skin conditions, medications and other information that could reasonably affect the safety or suitability of the treatment.

6.2. Clients must inform the business of any changes to their health or circumstances before their appointment.

6.3. The business reserves the right to postpone, modify or refuse a treatment where it reasonably believes that proceeding could pose a risk to the client or practitioner.

6.4. Clients must follow all reasonable pre-treatment and aftercare instructions provided by the business.

6.5. The business cannot guarantee specific results, as outcomes may vary according to individual circumstances, skin type, aftercare and other relevant factors.

6.6. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including applicable duties relating to reasonable care and skill.

Patch Tests & Treatment Suitability

7.1. Where a patch test or consultation is required by the treatment protocol, product manufacturer, insurer or applicable safety guidance, it must be completed within the required timeframe before treatment.

7.2. A client who refuses a required patch test or fails to follow relevant preparation instructions may have their appointment postponed or cancelled.

7.3. The business may refuse treatment if the client is not a suitable candidate for the requested service or if required safety checks have not been completed.

7.4. Any deposit or cancellation charge arising from a refused treatment will be handled fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

Service Changes & Additional Charges

8.1. Clients should communicate their desired treatment and any relevant preferences before the appointment.

8.2. Additional services, upgrades or changes that increase the price will only be carried out after the client has been informed of the additional cost and has agreed to it.

8.3. The business reserves the right to adjust a treatment where reasonably necessary for safety, suitability or the agreed service standard.

Complaints & Service Concerns

9.1. If a client has a concern about a service, they should contact the business as soon as reasonably possible, providing details of the issue.

9.2. The business will consider complaints fairly and aim to resolve them promptly.

9.3. Where appropriate, the business may request photographs or other relevant information to assess a concern.

9.4. Any remedy, including a correction, partial refund or full refund, will be considered according to the circumstances and applicable law. Nothing in this policy removes the client's statutory rights.

Personal Belongings

10.1. Clients are responsible for their personal belongings during appointments.

10.2. The business will act with reasonable care but does not accept liability for loss or damage to personal belongings to the extent that such liability can lawfully be excluded.

Privacy & Photographs

11.1. Personal information supplied during booking or consultation will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and the business's privacy practices.

11.2. Photographs taken for treatment records will be handled securely and used only for the stated purpose and lawful basis.

11.3. Photographs or videos intended for marketing, social media, portfolios or promotional materials will only be used where the necessary permission or other lawful basis has been obtained.

Booking Confirmations & Changes by the Business

12.1. Clients should retain their booking confirmation and ensure that their contact details are accurate.

12.2. The business reserves the right to reschedule or cancel an appointment where necessary due to illness, emergencies, equipment failure, safety concerns or other reasonable circumstances.

12.3. If the business must cancel, it will notify the client as soon as reasonably possible and offer rescheduling where available or provide any refund required by law.

 Consumer Rights & Applicable Law

13.1. These Terms & Conditions are intended to be fair, transparent and consistent with applicable consumer protection legislation.

13.2. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13.3. If any provision is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

13.4. These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the relevant part of the United Kingdom, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
